ICMR asks states not to use rapid testing kits for 2 days because of the inaccurate results

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has asked all the states and UTs in the country not to use the rapid testing kits for testing patients for two days as many variations were reported in the results. ICMR’s, R Gangakhedkar, in his press briefing said that the kits will be tested and validated by on ground teams and only after that ICMR will provide advisory in the next two days. Till then he asked all states not to use them, earlier on Tuesday, state of Rajasthan announced that they have stopped using the rapid testing, citing low efficiency of the kits as the reason behind it.
