10 more patients recovered from the virus in Kerala on the 100th day, active cases down to 16 in the state

Kerala on Friday reported that 10 more patients have recovered from the virus in the state bringing the total number of active cases in the state to 16. There was one new case reported in the state on Friday. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a statement said, it’s been 100 days since the first coronavirus case was reported in India which was in Kerala on January 30 and Kerala has managed to flatten the curve and has ensured a high recovery rate. He also said that Kerala is ready to fight any fresh spike in the Covid-19 cases as NRIs and Keralites from other states start coming in.

Kerala has reported 503 cases of the virus so far, of which 484 have recovered and three people have died in the state because of the virus. The new case reported on Friday is a kidney patient who came down from Chennai. All the 10 patients recovered on Friday were from Kannur district. Kerala has done remarkably well in fighting the virus. According to the CM, the state is ready to combat any new wave of virus infection. Kerala model is being talked about in the whole country and in the world.
